Long Term Residential and Nursing Care

At Vida Court we are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for people living with dementia. Each of our residents receives care that is specific to their needs and lifestyle, delivered by a highly skilled and dedicated care team.

Our care is ‘person-centred’ which means we take the time to get to know our residents and support them as individuals. By learning about family and friends, hobbies and interests, likes and dislikes, we can make meaningful connections, helping people to feel at home and at ease.

We are passionate about providing the most effective care by keeping up to date with the latest research and best practice in dementia care, as well as drawing on the high level of expertise we have in house. We champion the use of alternative therapies wherever possible for improved wellbeing.

We put values at the heart of our recruitment in order to find the most compassionate carers. Every member of the Vida team receives specialist training in order to deliver the highest quality care.

Respite Care

Vida Court welcomes respite stays if there are any current vacancies within the home. This will follow a comprehensive assessment of needs to ensure the transition from home to the care home does not cause any undue distress to the client or their family.

Our Houses

Vida Court is divided into eight individual houses which accommodate for a range of care needs, allowing for a thoroughly holistic approach to dementia care.

Every element of the home has been designed with our residents’ health and wellbeing in mind. The innovative layouts, circadian lighting, specially selected décor and sensory features all help to reduce anxiety and improve wellbeing. Our houses are bright and modern, with all the comforts of home.

Each of our houses offers a safe, welcoming environment and aims to give residents a sense of wellbeing and belonging. In our residential houses the emphasis is on supporting people to live as independently as possible, providing opportunities for social activity and engagement. Our nursing houses offer additional support to residents who have physical health challenges in addition to their dementia diagnosis.

We are one of the few care homes in the Yorkshire region to provide a service to younger people living with dementia. Vida Court is our first home providing a
dedicated house to people living with Huntington’s Disease.

Family & Support

At Vida we strongly believe in family life and the importance of maintaining connections with family and friends to a persons health and wellbeing. Vida Court is ideal for friends and relatives to visit and spend quality time with their loved ones. You can drop in for afternoon tea in our café, for lunch in the restaurant or for a drink in our coffee shop anytime.
