HUNTINGTON’S DISEASE CARE AT VIDA COURT

Vida Court in Beckwithshaw provides care specifically for people living with Huntington’s Disease; which is a degenerative brain disorder caused by a defective gene causing changes in the central area of the brain affecting movement, motor skills, mood and thinking skills.

The 9-bed house provides a high standard of person-centred care, including electronic medication management, access to local community services, in addition to access to GP services, The Community Mental Health Teams, Speech and Language Therapy Teams and an immersive sensory room. Vida Healthcare will continue to promote and foster resident’s independence ensuring we always work in the least restrictive manner whilst still providing a homely environment for residents and their families.

Our skilled staff allows those to continue to feel safe and well whilst on their journey with Huntington’s Disease. We work closely with Huntington’s Disease Association ensuring our staff can offer the most exceptional care for both you and your loved one. The team at Vida will work closely with you and your family to develop a tailored care plan, ensuring our highly skilled team can deliver the most effective care and support for your loved one.

Our ability to adapt and meet other specialist needs is one of our greatest assets, as we continually look for ways to develop our service and support more people living in the community who require specialist care for Huntington’s Disease and Dementia.

Vida Court is ideal for friends and relatives to visit and spend quality time with their loved ones.
