“After 38 years working across community, acute and urgent & emergency care services, firstly as a SaLT and then as a Programme Manager, I decided I needed to take a step back and look at what I wanted to do next with my life. I was extremely fortunate that an opportunity arose to work with Vida Healthcare designing and developing their learning, development and performance function and the amazing Vida Academy.
Vida are a family, it’s as simple as that. The opportunity to work closely with the Board of Directors, to work flexibly and to be able to lead change from the front has been great. I can see the impact of our work every day with our staff, with our residents and with visitors. Equally, I am fortunate to be able to maintain a ‘clinical’ focus having established strong relationships with Placement Co-ordinators across Nursing Studies and Paramedic Science at Bradford University and SaLT, Dietetic and Physician Associate students from Leeds Beckett University.
