Following a recent inspection, Vida Hall has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission – a score currently awarded to only 4% of care homes in the country.

Vida Hall provides residential care for up to 70 people and specialises in the care of people living with dementia. It consists of four houses; two houses provide nurse led care and two provide residential care.

The full report states “People received exceptional dementia care. The leadership team promoted education and research-based practice, which fostered high quality, person-centred care throughout the service. Staff followed the principles of person-centred care to promote the highest standard of care for people living with dementia. “

The inspectors commented that people were truly respected and valued as individuals; and empowered as partners in their care in an exceptional service.

Wendy Korcu, Registered Home Manager at Vida Hall commented, ” “I am so proud that Vida Hall has achieved outstanding! It is an honour that my team has received the recognition they deserve for being highly skilled, dedicated and compassionate people. I am so proud of them all.”
