On Friday 18th May Vida Hall welcomed the Stray FM team into the home to do a live breakfast broadcast – a week ahead of Dementia Action Week and in support of Local Radio Day.
Families and staff shared their thoughts about dementia and life at Vida Hall in a series of moving interviews throughout the morning. The team also attempted the morning minute quiz but sadly (and spectacularly!) missed out on the £1,000 prize.
Wendy Korcu – Home Manager at Vida Hall – explained why she was so keen to be involved in the broadcast: “I wanted to show people just how full of life and love our home is! I feel so proud and lucky to have such an incredible team of staff who are so passionate about making a difference to the lives of our residents.”
James Rycroft – Vida Healthcare’s Managing Director – added: “We wanted to share these stories to give people a sense of what life is really like here at Vida. We’re well known for our specialist care and innovative facilities, but most of all we pride ourselves on being a real home from home.”
