CARE ASSISTANT

FULL AND PART TIME HOURS AVAILABLE

RATE OF PAY: £7.50 PER HOUR PLUS WEEKEND ENHANCEMENT

The role of the Care Assistant is to support senior staff in meeting the personal care needs of the residents in a way that respects dignity, individuality and promotes independence.

The Care Assistant will always strive to fulfil their role in a manner which ensures that the environment is conducive to the delivery of high quality dementia care and a positive team culture.

Successful candidates will possess the following professional qualifications and skills:

  • Diploma in Health and Social Care (level 2) or be prepared to work towards it.
  • Willingness to undertake professional development.
  • Experience within the provision of health and social care is preferred however applications will be considered if there is a demonstration of a personal commitment towards older people living with dementia.
  • Ability to work within a team and towards the company ethos of care.
  • Possess basic literacy skills required for report writing purposes.
  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to speak with clients, visitors, other staff, professional colleagues and the general public to maintain the good reputation of the business.
  • Have the ability to understand and comply with all aspects of company policy and procedure.

 

REGISTERED NURSE

FULL TIME/PART TIME (SHIFT WORK INCLUDING WEEKENDS)

RATE OF PAY: £13.00 PER HOUR PLUS WEEKEND ENHANCEMENT

In its pursuit of excellence and a holistic approach to dementia care Vida Healthcare is pleased to invite applicants with the following nursing qualifications: Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered General Nurse and Registered Nurse LD.

The role of the Registered Nurse is to provide high quality nursing care and to assist in identifying and addressing the health and social care needs of the residents.

The Registered nurse will maintain and motivate a professional and efficient staff and exercise leadership in the absence of management and as part of the nursing team.

The Registered Nurse will maintain a homely atmosphere and create a dignified environment.

Successful candidates will possess the following professional qualifications and skills:

  • Registered nurse qualification and an active PIN registration with the NMC.
  • The ability to demonstrate a personal commitment towards high quality dementia care with an emphasis on innovative and forward thinking leadership.
  • The ability to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Evidence of competency in all aspects of drug administration.
  • Demonstrate a passion to instruct, support and mentor staff under your direction.
  • You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and a highly professional approach to all aspects of your role within the company.

 

SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT - NIGHTS

FULL TIME NIGHTS (SHIFT WORK INCLUDING WEEKENDS)

RATE OF PAY: £8.50 PER HOUR PLUS WEEKEND ENHANCEMENT

The role of the Senior Care Assistant is to support the person in charge and all aspects of the home management combined with the delivery of high quality care specifically based in the area of our home dedicated to supporting those residents experiencing distressed behaviour.

The Senior Care Assistant will act as a role model for new and existing Care Assistants to ensure the environment is conducive to the delivery of high quality dementia care and the promotion of a positive team culture.

Successful candidates will possess the following professional qualifications and skills:

  • Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 3) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in the provision of healthcare, preferably supporting older people with dementia or demonstration of a personal commitment towards advancement within this area.
  • You must be a good communicator with a highly professional approach in relation to all aspects of your role within the company.
  • Compliance with all aspects of company policy and procedure and to instruct, support and mentor staff within your team to follow your example.
  • You will have the ability to train and supervise junior members of staff in all elements of their work in the home.
